Becomes largest Dealer and Installer of Garage Doors in the State of Maine

January 1st 2000 -- As of the 1st of January 2000 Door Services, Inc.   announced the purchase of the garage door division of Portland Glass.

Door Services, Inc. is pleased to announce that the Overhead Door Division of Architectural Doors & Windows has been sold to Door Services, Inc. of Portland, Maine.

This sale will allow for the further growth of Door Services, Inc. while assuring continued employment for the dedicated employees who have worked for the Overhead Door Division of Architectural Glass & Glazing .  Door Services’ commitment to their new employees and their well-established position in the overhead door market should make this sale an excellent opportunity for everyone concerned.  An interesting note, and one that should lend some assurance, is that the principles of Door Services, Inc. started the original overhead door division of Architectural Glass & Glazing formally known as PG Overhead Doors, back in 1982.  With over 50 man years management experience in the garage door business we certainly know this business.  The purchase of this business demonstrates our continued commitment to this business.
